  • Summary:

(1)      v. 29 –

(2)      v. 30 –

(3)      v. 31 –  He glories those whom he justified

(4)      v. 32 –

  • Virtuous Circle of Justice and Light

(1)      Light ð Justice, Justice ð Light: In the light, we discern the difference between HIGH and LOW, Good and Evil. Glory as Revelation ð Shedding Light. But shedding light also gives glory.

(2)      Moral Psychology of Justice and Light:

  1. Justice = Investment of Treasure: When we suffer to do JUSTICE, we have an investment in seeing the difference between the Good we suffer for and its opposite (inertial) Evil, so our discernment grows. Your heart is where your treasure is.
  2. Testimony ð More Earnest Search for the Light of Justice: Even when we do not clearly discern the principle, we are inspired when someone else who thinks he does see the principle makes a sacrifice for it. For instance, I am reminded of Chariots of Fire where the athlete sacrifices to respect the Sabbath. I do not agree with this theology, but he gave me pause, opened my mind, and generally persuaded me of the existence of things worth sacrificing for. The spectrum of goods and evils widens and diversifies, multiplying options both horizontally and vertically. The HIGH is a little higher, the LOW a little lower.
